Training Connect was established early in 2007 to meet an urgent and widespread need for courses in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). This need arose from new regulations introduced by the UK Border Authority (UKBA) to address the politically sensitive issue of immigration. Since then Training Connect has successfully trained over 32,000 students from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds and established a nationwide network of training centres staffed by highly skilled multilingual
